I currently have the 3 wire rc4 transponder, and have been talking to a couple people and heard that if you use the 2 wire extension it comes with it'll read n the older systems (as a rc4 hybrid would) does anyone know if this is the case? If so it would seem kinda silly to spend an extra 20 bucks for the hybrid

That would be news to me. Would be cool if that was the case but I don't see them eliminating the sales of their hybrid. Which is what they would do if that were possible.
