Hi you can use different types of batteries for the mt4 TX and RX! I purchased a 4 pack of regular AA nhmi Batteries at a local store then I purchased a 4 cell charger from Hobby People to charge it. I use a 5 cell NHMI Hump pack for my cars rx. Just beware if you go the lipo way you shouldnt use any bigger than 2S lippo and also you will have to have high voltage servos (7.4v) and these servos are very expensive to me.more than 100 bucks a piece. This is a great radio I have had mine 6 months and it is just solid!! I hope this helps out Michael

Thanks! That was just the route i was thinking of going just wasnt sure about the receiver pack. Also I really like everything about the MT4 just wasnt sure if it was worth the extra cost over the futabas I listed in 2nd post. Receivers are a bit on the high side for the MT4 If had to replace.

the mt4 and the 4pls are in the same league. there are lots of threads comparing those two already though.

Yeah I think i just screwed up I ordered a 2s lipo receiver pack and im not sure that the servos thats coming with a truggy i ordered from a guy is high voltage! Oh well i will just go to my LHS and pick up a 6.0v NIMH pack, I should have just ordered one of those in first place. So now i have a lipo that i may not ever use.

I believe this is the one that fits best, although would like to know if you need to swap out the plugs?
