Default new sidewinder 8th system being released

Saw this on another forum I belong to. Couldn't find anything here. Looks like a pretty decent budget system.

i wonder what power is compared to the standard 1515 motor. wonder if it is even different... just looks like a different can design. i hope this sidewinder doesn't run as toasty as the 1/10 one.

I know huh! Its only rated at 90 amps vs 120 amps that the mm2 esc has with the same motor and on 6s also. I think castle is asking for it!

Well I converted my O'Donnell with a mm2 setup I had and its crazy fun. Never realized what I was missing. I used to dread pulling the buggies out when they were nitro. It shouldn't be like that. It was fun when everything was working right and dialed in....but weather change....time to tune it again. That got old. Quick. Now I throw a battery in and just go. Its faster too. I get over 15 minutes run time to boot. With this budget system its just gonna make the decision to convert my other buggy easier. The only problem I have is they only offer a 2200kv and I can only fit 4# in the buggy. The 2650kv motor I have now flat out hauls on 4s. Im not so sure the 2200kv version will be as fast.

Has anyone got their hands on the Sidewinder 8th yet, how do they perform.
With my DEX408t on the way, im thinking about pulling the MMM 2200 from one of my on-road cars and putting that in the Truggy, wouldn't mind a NEW replacement for under $190 Cant get a used MMM combo for that anymore.

Not to Canada, but thanks for the heads up.
Was just quoting LHS pricing. Haven't started searching for one yet.

Just looking for feedback. Im thinking of picking one up for one of my GTP2e's in favor of the MMM which would make its way to the DEX408t im building.
