Default Lipo Puffing. Is it toast?

I have a 4x4 scte and I am using two turnigy 6000 mah with 65-130c discharge batteries. Truck runs great!! I purchased it used from a guy at my local track and he has a great reputation. I have ran it pack after pack for about two race days for hours on end. One battery is not puffed and the other one is puffed (slightly). Is the battery completely toast? I will post pics later tonight once I get home.

If it is toast, how can I prevent the one that is not puffed from puffing in the future?

Do I charge it right after use?

How long should I wait until I charge the battery after a run of 10-15 minutes on an indoor clay track?

Would balancing the batteries help from future puffing?

Should I discharge the pack?

How do I go about discharging?

always balance charge batteries in sct 4x4. A slight puff is nothing to worry about. If it looks like its going to give birth, I would get rid of it. you should let the packs cool before charging and running again. scte is hard on packs. not way around the issue. your will probably puff packs. heat causes the pack to swell. this causes permanent puffing. You can leave your packs in the sun all after noon and they will probably puff up. At least in AZ with 105+ temps that is true.

also, dont over run the packs. if your running your truck to lvc and putting 4000 mah back into you packs on a charge, you will kill the packs fast. When i raced scte 4x4's I set my lvc at 3.6v/cell. or 7.2 volts.
