Questions?? Bad reciever?

Hi,

Not too experienced with RC cars, so hope this makes sense. My car is a Kyosho Lazer ZX-5 (RTR).

Problem: The RC car is not responding to the remote controller. The battery is fully charged, and I put new batteries in the remote controller.

If I change where the ESC is connected to from ch1 to ch2, the car will move forward with the sterring control. When connected to ch1, the speed trigger gets no response. The ESC green light is on when connected to ch2, it flashes orange when connected to ch1. Does this mean ch1 on the reciever may be broken? Is it possible for one ch go go?

I cannot get the steering ervo to respond on either ch1 or ch2. I have a spare servo I plugged into both ch1 and ch2 and could not get a response with that one either.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Most likely is that yes, it sounds like it is probably a bad receiver.

Channel 2 is your esc and 1 is for steering and make sure that they are plugged in the right way also. If that doesn't work then yeah might be bad receiver. Did it work fine and just go out all of a sudden?
