Default Help Calibrating Orca Spark ESC

I just purchased an ORCA Spark ESC and 2200kv motor to run in my Mini club race class.

I can't get the ESC to calibrate. I'm using a Traxxas 2.4gig radio/esc.

The ESC powers up, the steering servo works (although it's reversed, which is easily changed), but I can't calibrate the ESC.

The first step is to push the controller into full brake and hit the set button, as soon as I do that the ESC blinks red 6-8 times quickly, and nothing happens.

I've checked the soldering tabs to ensure none are crossed, polarity to the battery is correct. Any thoughts???

Are you holding the set button down with a thin stick ( that part makes me laugh) before turning the ESC on? (set button is the right side of the two holes).

When the the LED turns green release the set button.
Push the trigger to full brake.
Press the set button and release. (its beeps two times)
Release the trigger to neutral.
Pull the trigger to full throttle.
Press the set button and release.... you will hear two beeps.
Release the trigger to neutral, press the set button.
You will hear 4 beeps.
Done.

If this does not work, reverse the throttle, repeat above.

I used the finest thin stick I could find! hahaha, that made me laugh as well!

Truth be told, I had a total BLONDE moment!!! I had the esc plugged into my secondary steering servo port on my Rx. UGH... Ya, not proud of this one!
