That's makes me feel much better about the purchase! I did like the way the spectrums felt in my hand but was ruled out because of many glitch complaints. I narrowed it down to the mt4s and the 4pls. I just hope I like the way mt4s feels in hand.....if not I'll just deal with it! Lol

I think you will love the MT4S. The quality of the radio is as good as it gets. I just purchased the MT4 for one of my sons and an MT4S for the other. I run an M12 myself, but the MT4S feels really good in your hands. It looks small but does not feel it when driving. Coming from Spektrum in the last year myself, you will tell a difference in quality and connection to your car hands down!

looking at possible radios for this year, been happy with my Futaba 4PL and looking to pass it on the daughter.

however, I am open to other brands and have had airtronics in the past.

Question for your guys, do the airtronics radios at this price point have receivers that are antenna-less like the futabas?

What is a common cost on the receivers, no telemetry?

How does this radio or the regular MT4 compare to the Futaba?

How is airtronics customer service?

Thanks for all your help

I haven't owned a Futaba radio and I haven't had any reason to test the customer service.

I'm not aware of any Airtronics/Sanwa receivers with no antenna at all. But a whole lot of people just curl the antenna up inside their body so it doesn't show.

The nicer receivers like the RX46X or RX47X can all be found online for around $100 if you have a coupon code. You can get older receivers for half of that but they will be larger and slower.

Came from a Futaba 4PL and went to an MT4, then MT4s. Love it. Even tried an M12 and went back to the MT4s. Would not switch back to 4PLS or M12. Love this radio. Simplistic, reliable, light and balanced.

I am looking at upgrading from a MX-V to the 4s.
I have 3 cars with the Rx-371 receivers...what would be the adverse effect in using these rx's?
I don't really care about telemetry....
I just want a good reliable transmitter.

No adverse effects from using the 371 Rx's. You just wouldn't experience the full potential of the MT4s Tx until you use the new FH4 Rx's. This is the good reliable transmitter you have been looking for.

We also have several of the Rx-371 receivers and are using them both with the MT4 and MT4S with great results. You will get a little faster response time with the included RX-472. I love the fact that Airtronics still allows you to use the previous RXs with the newest radios! You will Love the MT4S!

Good Luck and Have Fun!

for the receivers, am I correctl you can just pack the receiver wire into the radio tray box or do you need to have them sticking out doing the zorro thing still?

One of the reasons I like my Futaba 4Pl is the receivers are antennaless that I buy.

I'm tempted to finally upgrade from my Spektrum dx3r with the anniversary edition mt4s ... Am I reading correctly here that the speed of this radio would be noticeably better?
