Tekin Hotwire App!!
#766
I'm having an issue with V257 and deleting data. Should I expect the hotwire app to not delete data, or is there something I can do to get it to work?
I think I've been pretty thorough, but have been unable to get data to delete through the app, even though I select the "delete data" button, and the app says "deleting data".
I did eventually find the new (to me) remote data delete feature in the braking menu, and that does work.
(I don't have any way to update to v258, if that is the fix. I have a mac, not PC...)

You can also power on the model, hold down the "INC" button until it chimes to erase the data log. This is how I do it.

V224 on rx8. When I program with computer all is fine. If I then try and adjust something with the mobile app it acts like 10% throttle is about 70% any ideas ? I know this is not the right place to ask this also but why are we made to reprogram for different batteries? Why not have auto detect like everyone else ?

If all you're doing is changing between a 4s and 5s for example, you can do this with the on board buttons very quickly:
Power up the model, hit the "Mode" button until it's on the last LED which is "VC", hit the "INC" button to correspond with the amount of cells you're using; ie 4 LED's lit for 4s, 6 LED's lit for 6s for example. Once you have the cell count chosen, simply let the ESC reboot on it's own. DONE.

After having difficulties at the track last night I've now been able to test the Android App together with the Windows app. As far as I can tell, the only datalog related thing in the android app now is the option to clear the log by holding the brake. For the most part my settings were accurate and my memory failed. There is one mismatch that I was able to confirm though. On the Android app the maximum value for the throttle minimum is 20. In the windows app the maximum value is 30. If I have it set to 30 in windows it appears to reset to the default value in the android app. This is what led me to believe that the settings were not being read correctly last night.
Touching the refresh looking button in the upper right while connected to my hotwire 1 puts the android app into demo mode. Pressing it a second time triggers a search for bluetooth connected devices. No where can I find anything that will reconnect or refresh settings with the wired hotwire. The only way to get connected again is to unplug and close the app.
Was this update pushed out by mistake? It really seems unfinished. I'd be happy to help with user acceptance testing if you need more input.

It will be re-enabled on the next app update.

This. I also don't believe the app was properly reading the current settings nor was there a button to get the current settings. The refresh looking button tries to bind with a bluetooth receiver. This was with a hotwire 1 and RS Gen2.

You're also correct that "refresh" icon is for "driving" away after the HW3 BLE is attached....
