Tekin Hotwire App!!
#136
Got the hotwire app working on a Hisense Sero 7 (model:e270bsa) with a Samsung usb connector (model:elp-au10wegxar).
I tried it on a Samsung tab 3 7" and the hotwire would not power up or be recognized by the tablet. I also tried on a Samsung tab 3 8" and the hotwire got power and the tablet recognized that the hotwire was hooked up but would only open in demo.

I would like the app (both windows and android) to show the extreme values in the data log screen for the run. For example, without sliding from beginning to the end of the chart to see the value for the highest temps, RPMs, top and bottom voltage, etc with the timestamp that the occurred at. It would just be a nice feature to get a quick sum total on things.

Well my adapter cable came today and doesn't seem to power on the hotwire. Cable is OTG per description ( http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0081F01T6/...-2147483554-20 ). Trying on an HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE with Android 4.0.4 not sure what else to try or what setting may need to be changed in the phone to make it work. Have an RS Gen 2 esc.
~ Update ~ After doing more research, it appears the HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE does not support OTG. So I guess it's worth spending a little time seeing if your android device supports OTG before you get your hopes up.

It was under $2 so if it doesn't work, on to the next one that's $10 and from the US

It was posted in this thread or the RS G2 thread that the cheapies are missing a pin or something that's needed for what we want to do. Seen a couple people talk about that.

Phones I have that all are on Android 4.x but do not support OTG:
- HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE
- HTC Evo 3D 4G
- Motorola Atrix 4G
So 3 strikes... I'm out. Like I said above, search online for your model device your going to use if it supports OTG before wasting your time buying cables and stuff to use the app just to be disappointed.

My BIL just got a Dell Venue 8 for Christmas and I was going to check the Hotwire App on it. I don't have my speedo yet, but do have the hotwire and OTG cable. Will I be able to tell if it works without have a speedo to verify ? Would like to order tablet today if it will work.
Thanks
