Hi,
The specs says that the motor limit is 2~4S LiPo: KV<3000, 2~6 poles.

I need a new ESC for my SC10 4x4 with Tenshock SC411 4-pole 5200kv.

I am running it on 2S LiPo.
This is out of the ESC's range, will it be to much for it?

Can anyone tell me what the stock settings for the trackstar esc are. i am waiting on the program box from china and would like to know if im safe to use the esc until it comes in.

Toro TS 150A Esc and Turnigy Trackstar 1900 kv.

Hi
Just before making my order, I would be sure that the Esc from Toro Ts 150A is a good match for the Turnigy Trackstar 1900kv. I want this combo until Toro X8S with 2150kv are back in stock.

Maybe somebody has tested the Trackstar 2100 against the Toro X8S 2150..

Best regards
Jan

Both of those motors are very similar. Performance should be interchangably great between all of them. I have run the Trackstar version of this esc with the Trackstar 2100kv 4-pole sensored motor and it is fantastic. The 8XS motor should be equally impressive. Personally, I have only run the Toro version of this esc with a Hobbywing XeRun 2250kv motor. But the esc's are identical in performance. Just no interchangable esc accessories. I would buy that Trackstar motor with confidence.

Too many unknown variables and preferences to answer what motor you should get... Plus that combo you listed does not include the same esc as discussed in this thread.

Is anyone actually using this in a racing application? 10 pages of the programming crap, and not much on how it actually performs.

Was thinking of giving it a try in 1/8 buggy, (the Toro TS150) racing only, small track. Not sure on the motor though, they make a 1700 sensored, or a 2100 6pole sensor-less.

Any feed back on how it works on the track, and reliability would be good.

I'm racing mine in a JQRacing White Edition econversion with a REDS Racing 1900kv motor. It's been just fine. Comes off after a 7 minute qualifier at under 100*. I have the SkyRC/Toro version and mounted the Bluetooth connector in my radio box for easy adjustments on the fly from my phone. I also love the fact that you can have dual stage punch control and dual stage brake control.

The only complaint I have so far is that the instruction manual has NO information on errors, beeps, etc. (at least on the SkyRC/Toro instructions). So this past weekend I ran into an issue with my battery where the charger said it was full, the ESC said it was dead and I missed my first qualifier. Once that was sorted out, it worked perfectly.

What ended up being the issue?

Well I suspected that the two beeps was indicating the LiPo cut off, however as I mentioned there is no information on that in the manual. Eventually the ESC wouldn't even turn on.

Without going into to many boring details, the charger somehow got switched into LiFe mode (either by pit pranks or I *think* while wiping the screen down). So it in fact wasn't charging the pack fully and the ESC was correct with it being low voltage (of course, no information on what it was trying to say). Fixed the charger, fixed the pack, and all was well.

Ah, makes sense. You wouldn't believe how many times when we sell the SkyRC Toro Beast 1/5 scale ESC that we get a customer contact us saying the ESC is defective out of the box. They come set for 8S and if they are running a 6S setup it goes into LVC immediately.

I believe it. Not just in RC, but I see it every day where people don't read. Problem is, there was nothing for me to read. :)

Of course I had to doubt the ESC. With my bad luck I've had with some brands in the past, I thought for sure that a value ESC like the Toro TS150 was going to be shot as well. I'm glad it wasn't.

Dry run test out in the parking lot for my truggy with the Gen II ESC with the 2350Kv motor on 4S...uhm, gonna have to dial it back a tad for our track.

or not.:p
