HPI brushless ESC?
#1
Hi. I was wondering if someone could talk me through how to set the radio endpoints on a HPI "Vapor" 1/10th scale ESC, that comes with the Blitz ESE Flux package.
I understand there rebadged Castle's, so do they set-up the same? And are they programmable?
Any help would be apprieciated.

they are the same as sidewinder 2's, though they might now be sidewinder 3's.
If I remember right from when I had a sidewinder…
You turn the esc on, radio off. Then you go and turn on the radio, but while turning it on, you hold full throttle. Hold until it beeps or flashes(or whatever it does, maybe even a combo of the two), then go to full reverse. The beep/flash thing should happen, then release the trigger to neutral. it should beep/flash again, and then both endpoints, and throttle midpoint should be set.
You can get the castle link to program the esc. ( You could even buy the castle link on the hpi website, but I don't know if you can anymore)

Im not sure which version, 1 or 2 the HPI one is.
the field programmer should work just fine with the HPI version.

The sidewinder has had a few different versions. original, ver. 2 SCT edition, and now Ver.3 I think that software is different on ver 1,2,3 and the same on the sct and ver.2. Im not sure how different, but the general programming should be the same, probably just a few small changes at most.
