Water proofing batteries?

Default Water proofing batteries?

Does anyone know if there is a way to water proof batteries so I can run my slash in the winter?

run a chassis cover. or put the batteries into a little plastic baggie.

Dang, what was I thinking.

Lithium as an element is reactive with water being a metal to get that reaction though you eould have to expose the lithium to the water by breaking the case, but its going to puff or burn if you pierce the shell anyways.

Some people thought a firmware upgrade would make their iphones waterproof...



Find me ONE case of a lipo being damaged from water.

I wonder about using it on all the plastics of a car. It would cut cleaning down by how much time at the end of the day... almost nothing would stick to it...

After cleaning, I spray this stuff liberally all over...makes cleaning easier...

Water is also corrosive, I've seen packs with enough corrosion on the connections and wiring, along with flexing, to cause failures. Granted not the cell itself which I assume is your point, but still no workie.
