Default Tekin Pro4 Sensor Board problems

I'm having issues with my Tekin pro4 4600kv motor, during practice and the race I can feel the truck going from sensored to sensorless.

When this happens, If I wiggle the sensor wire at the back of the motor it starts to work again. It is very random when it happens, and I cant get it to happen on the bench.

Does any one know of a way to test the Sensor board off the motor? I have access to a multimeter, and I'm not scared to disassemble a motor and work on it.

I will say the motor is not longer in warranty(if it even had one originally) I purchased the motor used. I'm 99% sure its the board that is bad, the sensor wire has no damage and I've kept it clean.

From the Research I've done, ordering a new sensor board is a easy thing to do, I just want to be 100% is the board and not the wire.

Thank you in advance for any help.

If you're going to swap parts, change the cable first. Its cheaper, easier, and typically the one to go bad vs the sensor board.

Or, remove the sensor cable and flip it around (plug the esc end into the motor end and visa versa). If the problem continues, see where you have to wiggle to make it work again.

If its still a wiggle at the motor: board is bad
If its a wiggle at the esc, cable is bad.

I'll give that a shot. I've noticed that wiggling at the motor end is the only thing that is surfire way to fix it. Finding a the really long sensor wire is a pain, LHS is always sold out of them, and I cant justify ordering a new long wire one from amain.

Get the correct length wire, I used a short wire that barely made it from my esc to motor when I PREVIOUSLY owned a scte 2.0 and I had problems with sensored, get the correct length I think I used 275mm and it had a lot of slack so I'm sure 250mm would be perfect

When you get it, get two so you have a spare... and when you put on the spare be looking for the next one. Just one of those things to keep on hand.

Good point, I'm currently using a long wire, and have plenty of slack. I will try cleaning this sensor end out and trying to pick an extra wire up this weekend at the track.

Just wish some one knew of a way to test the sensor board. I know it uses hall effect sensors to sense the orientation of the com.
