Default Electronics for 17.5 Touring class suggestions

Looking for recommended electronics and body to run in 17.5 touring car class. Needs to be ROAR approved. Any suggestions?

I ran a Viper VTX10 and a Reedy Mach 2. Not the cheapest setup, but worked great.

For electronics I prefer Tekin. IMO they have the best customer service in the business. But you will get suggestions for every manufacturer. You just need to pick one and see what works for you.

For body I would suggest the Protoform Mazda Speed 6. Its pretty standard for TC these days.

thanks, just started getting into the 1/10 scale (been racing mini-z for 9 years) so I feel like I'm in a whole different ball field. Don't want to waste $250 of electronics unless its good

If you're running blinky, I suggest a Hobbywing Justock ESC. Best bang for your buck, and runs very smoothly. I have 3 of them. I run a Schuur Speed 17.5 and it's been a good motor.

+1 for justock. This is a very competitive ESC for 17.5 tc. I run a trinity d3.5 in my TC and a hobbywing v10 in my 2wd buggy. All are great!

-1 for Tekin.....
