Now this is starting to sound like another great reason to tell my wife I need to race more often in case of RSX memory loss  ... Sorry been a long day...

Ok, write down all your settings. Do a factory reset to clear out the esc's memory entirely. Re input your settings. Then go into data logging and make sure all the streams you want to record are checked.

Then on the bench, power up the car and work the throttle/brake for 60 seconds. Attempt to view the recording.

Result?

Reflashing the current software is what I do to get it to start logging data again and the boxes are checked. However, after an extended amount of time without downloading the data, it will not allow me to download anything and the boxes have been unchecked.

Rsx

Delete the software on your computer, then re-load. Happened to me a few times. Usually works after I reload.

Is there any possible reason a 5.5t motor would run COOLER going from locked timing to 15dg of boost ?

I have a D413 running a rsx and d413 and indoors I was running 10dg on the can and locked timing in the esc. Esc stayed cool but motor got pretty hot indoors. Took it to my outdoor track and ran it with some boost and the motor didn't get anywhere near as hot as it did indoors. Was it just the increased air flow , the lack of constant acceleration , or an efficiency thing ?

Please do this:

Plug in only your Hotwire to your PC, launch the software, hit the "Help" button and read the version. What does your show?

If you're over geared for the indoor track, then went outdoors where your gearing was better, sure it'd run cooler.

Boost doesn't generally cool things off on its own.

Read the info in the write-ups referenced on this page: http://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-el...y-boosted.html

It might explain some of what you are seeing, aside from the gearing issue that Randy mentioned.

Randy, the data logger stopped logging again. The data streams were all unchecked. it seems after prolong use without downloading the data the data streams uncheck themselves.

I rechecked the streams and went for a drive in the street and the Logger started logging again. I didn't need to reflash the firmware in the esc or return to default settings.

Ill do that for a NEW RSX. I like the esc. Nice deal sir.

New they are $220 AT TOWERHOBBIES.

And thank you Randy on the ESC help and the on the Y-max Info.

I definitely do not think i'm delutional here. reverse is definitely faster than forward. If i attempt to switch the throttle direction, it wont calibrate.

Tlr 22 2.0 Mid Motor
speed passion 10.5 Motor
Tekin RSX

Will I need hotwire to change the direction of the motor?

Could timing on the motor can have something to do with it? I reset the esc to factory values wihich appear to be set to "full brake/reverse) under the brake strength profile but it says it should be at 4-5 in the manual. I'm not sure what firmware I have as I don't have a Hotwire.
