Airtronics Caliber 3ps to 2.4ghz conversion help wanted
So I've done search upon search and it seems like this might be something I can't accomplish. I'm looking to use one of the 2.4ghz hack modules (preferably one of the OrangeRX ones) in order to change an older Caliber 3ps into 2.4ghz.
The problem I have is finding the right 3 wires inside the transmitter. Has anyone done this conversion or does anyone know what wire is the PPM wire inside a Caliber 3ps?

I have one of these radios also. I would like to know if you figure out how to do this. Or are you interested in buying my radio?

I'm attempting to replace the lithium battery in my original (1990's) 3PS Caliber transmitter. I purchased the lithium battery. It is essentially a 2032 disc battery with solder tabs on it for PCB mounting/assembly. Just curious if anyone here has had any experience replacing the lithium battery in their 3PS transmitter?
What I'm looking for is specific directions/instructions in regards to which section of the transmitter the battery is contained. Location of battery. I did'nt necessarily want to disassemble the whole transmitter.
I'm surprised this info is not provided in the user manual- it just says after 5 years the transmitter would need to be serviced at a certified Airtronics repair station. I sent an inquiry to Airtronics technical support, I get no reponse?
I posted a few images of a disassembled transmitter rear cover (from another poster) as a guide.
I'm an experienced solderer.
Appreciate any input........

I dont think its possible. Module made to convert 2.4ghz, in the early days of Spektrum. They were made to convert the M8 radio. Spektrum discontiued the module Years back. You can search but you'll find discontinued. Vintage radio. You may find under Spektrum for Futaba! Good luck!
