Default Help picking right radio

Let me start by saying Im a rookie at this right now I have a M11 radio that I took in trade the rf module has broken antenna and rx is in bad shape. I don't know if it would be worth trying to find spectrum module and rx or buy a new radio that's fast but with less options like for one car instead of four any help would be appreciated thanks Phil

Do you race? Do you have intentions of ever racing? What would be your budget if you decided to get an all new radio?

I did see a spektrum module and receiver in the for sale section here for $40 some time ago.

In my opinion, I would look for a module and rx before buying a new radio. Most likely end up being cheaper. Plus, even if you don't race but get different models, you only need a rx instead of a whole system.

Those spectrum receivers are hard to find, and PRICEY. At $90 a pop versus $45 for say a Futaba receiver, your costs can get high when you add more models.

I have seen used 4PL on here with receiver for as low as $120. Those use much cheaper receivers.
