ICHARGER 308 Duo
#346
Yep. My channel 2 will no longer balance so it sits there indefinitely, not finishing the charge cycle. Mine was about 18 months old. I've since replaced it. Doesn't make me feel like it was a worthwhile investment. $250 for something that just sits on a bench to not even make it 2 years.

Last I read, you have to send it to Junsi (Asia) for servicing. Progressive RC services them supposedly if you bought it there. Either way, I'm not putting anymore money into it. I've actually had 2 iChargers and neither one of them was reliable for any length of time. I'm sure I'm the exception with the reliability issues, but I'm done with their stuff. Moved on to Hitec who is at least in the US.

HI guys. The lipo batt manufacturer for my battery recommends ....."in order to maximize performance, discharge this pack from a storage level (3.8 volts per cell) at 25-30 amps down to 3.4 volts per cell. Then immediately recharge it at 2C until fully charged. This lowers the IR of the pack and gives it more punch.
Now... how do I do that with my 308duo? I know how to put the pack in storage...how do I discharge it at 25-30 amps? The pack is a 2s 4600Mah 90c.

You need a discharge resistor to get anything more than about 10A. PM me and I can direct you where to get one.

1S charging
I read this entire thread and found a few questions about 1s charging with the balance leads but never a full answer. I understand how and where to plug into the charger but what do I do with the blue wire/plug? There is no port like a 2s battery, do I attach it to the pos wire/plug?

You can balance charge a 1s on the iCharger. You just need special cables like the Tuning Hause or the new Trinity charging cables. When you balance charge a 1s battery you can measure the internal resistance. It has a little connector on the charging lead that you plug in the balancer cable plug.

If you read farther back in this thread it is noted that using the balance port/wires is the only way to get an accurate IR reading. It has nothing to do with balancing.
Yes I know, read my reply above.
Thanks, I just purchased the Tuning Haus cables and wanted to be sure before I smoke a port.
