Default Which lipo batteries ?

I will be purchasing a new lipo pack soon. I am running 4s. Which packs would you recommend? I have been scouring the inter-web and ran across MAX AMPS. Any thought ?

They are an aggressively marketed brand; a service for which you ultimately pay.

For better than Chinese un-brand quality at better than "big-name" prices, I'd recommend taking a look at ProMatch and SMC.

Diplomatically put. Others might say MA's claims are ludicrous and that the product is no where near as good as they would have you believe.

SMC is where my dollars went last.

I've been using an SMC lipo for a week or so, and I'm pretty happy with it.

SPC or SMC, cant go wrong with either one. Both have a great reputation and fair prices.

I did a lot of research on maxamps and I came to the conclusion that they are not right for me and are over priced. They maybe worth every penny or worth a single penny. I just don't like the way they push their customers to advertise by bribing them and also censoring people. I'm sure they are well built packs and 1 year warranty is great with a life time 50% off after that one year warranty. From what I hear the customer service is 80 positive/20 negative. Guess it all depends who you talk to. I just feel like the company is eager to pat itself on the back. I'm sure 150c burst is awesome in theory but are there diminishing returns and is there anything out there that can take advantage of that burst?

Thunder power seems to be good packs, SMC people at my track use a lot but I've never owned one. I have a 3s venom 5000 mah 35C and it hasn't given me problems so far. I've also heard good things about gen ace (hobbypartz brand).

I feel like there is some luck involved because everyone runs their rc/ lipo differently and charges it differently. Performance wise I feel like they are all pretty similar in out put and the cheaper brands might stretch their "mah" count a little. I'd probably go with something that has a warranty?

Value hobby has some good 4 cell 6000 for like 45 bucks and they run fine in offroad.

SMC all the way. Stay away from Max Amps and their ridiculous claims.

I just can't imagine buying any thing else other
than SMC.
I have 6 packs from them now, just in the last 2 months.
I could not be happier.

Not sure if It's the car, or the batteries, the wife and
I both have identicle set up Vorza's, we are getting 55 minutes
and 61 minutes run times, we were messing with each other
in a huge asphalt parking lot, and no, we were not just
going 5 MPH, wide open 50% of the time..
