Default understanding amp draw???

Ok i need some info in understanding amp draw and how to use it to my advantage? once i start adjusting my motor timing, i want to adjust the timing using amp draw to get the most out of my motor, lipo ect... i really have no idea... any links, info would be great in explaining it..

Basically more timing more amp draw. Less timing less amp draw. Remember though amp draw is not just dependent on the timing settings but the gearing and motor load aswell. I think you would have a much easier time using a temp gun to set timing. That is what I do and any one I have met in RC does.

Keep it simple don't make it hard by tryinh to find current values that probably don't have much meaning to you. Don't know what kind of background you have whether its egineering or math related. If would like to do research the best place to start would be look for an introduction to electric machines/drives course online.
