Default DSM2 Module for M8?

There seems to be a lot of dsm2 modules out there especially from HK.
Has anyone found one that works with the M8?

I really like the old brick and the spektrum pro module won't work with LRP speedys

I used a frequen module when I had an M11 (also fits M8) which seemed to work well but it's not cross compatible with other 2.4ghz gear.

Looks good. Did you try using it with LRP speedys? I really wanted dsm 2 so I could use the M8 to bind to the orange rx's and control all my cars without spending a heap on additional rx's

I can't recall using it with an LRP but I think the issue off memory was to do with the Spektrum neutral zone not liking LRP's auto set up. Some Castle esc's do it too until you go into Castle Link and push the neutral zone to the maximum value.

first the spektrum module is only dsm and will not work with dsm2 recievers . yes hk has only dsm2 recievers . obviously these are knock offs but still work . spektrum only had dsm technology at the release of the m8/m11. there is nothing that is forward compatable . the new spektrum radios however are backwards compatable . the new dx4s is a dsmr radio that is compatable with any spektrum reciever.

This might be a dead thread, but from the recent research I have done, you should be able to buy the orangerx board, non module and install it I. The m8! I am in the thinking decisions of currently doing this, and have found one YouTube how to, basic but it gives you the idea. If I try it I will update progress here, Compatibility of the system is any dsm2 spektrum reciever, and the orange rx recievers at $9 seem tempting!
And if your curious the orangerx is just hobbyking branded Corona systems, which have a ton more feedback on plane forums!

orange rx has QC problems .. if you get a good one they work great but if not well anything can happen to your car. I have another option using xps3 AE transmitter and rx and they are very cheap to buy and not hard to mod and no soldering or messing with your radio. You leave it stock so down the road you can do whatever.
