Yes! MT4 will do everything you need for nitro racing. It's not as fast as m11x out of the box but can be if you buy a different receiver. Doing that you'd lose telemetry though ( which is not a big deal since it's not really needed ) MT4 is also hella lighter and smaller than m11x. Best thing to do is to try them both out and see which one feels better in your hand. m11x is just a proven racers radio though. I do know few people who switched from m11x to mt4 because how heavy it is + they never needed half of the things this radio could do.
So yeah i'd say MT4 is best bang for the buck, will do everything you need and can be just as smooth, fast and precise as m11x ( or really close ) It doesnt have a backlight though ( again...not a big deal )
and of course there are people who swear by MT4 and then there are ones who say that MT4 is more like in between dx3s and dx3r ( mid range radio ) while m11x is top of the line.
I mean really best thing you could do is go to your local track or hobby shop and try them both out. Play around with menus and stuff....maybe take a quick look at both radio manuals etcetc. and pick the one that just feels better.

I just bought a use M11x from a friend and noticed a difference from my MT4. The latency time is less with a M11x which makes you feel more connected to your car. I cannot tell you about a MT4 with a different receiver, but I did notice the difference going from the standard MT4 to a standard M11X.
