No 239

BashemSmashem 09-05-2013 12:10 PM

I didnt think so , he had me confused with that one ........

Gotta say I am liking the Gen2 RX8 a lot ! Not sure if its smoother or runs different from the Gen1 but the new programming port and the data logging feature are VERY cool !

Not sure I like the plain Jane look of the motor vs. the Gen1 T8 but that is very minor thing IMO . BTW I like the white case but a blue one would be really cool ......

Yea seeing that a few people would like colored cases and there was no comment on it I'm sure if we really want to have a colored case we have to take that into our own hands

Colored cases are not completely out of the question here at Tekin, but in the meantime, some rattle can primer and paint is a cheap and effective solution.

To verify:

Plug in ONLY the hotwire to your computer, no esc. Launch the software, hit the "help" button. The version should read 9.6.1 at the moment.

I read the version before I hooked it up like you said it is 9.6.1

It still says model esc as unknown under that says version 238.

I tried with fan adapter and direct same results.Still have a few friends around here that says theirs does the same thing.

Ok , I see what you mean ... Under the "advanced" tab on the right side of the screen (lowest tab) mine says ESC Model unknown , and under that it has Current version 238 , and under that it shows which versions have been downloaded .....

Yeah...I think a blue one is not gonna happen...

The GEN2 is definitely more smooth than the GEN1, was the first thing I noticed when we started testing. Been working really hard on making them this way.

We're aware of the bug not showing the esc.

There will be an updated software available shortly.

I could care less about the color as some do but can't you dye white plastic just about any color with that Rit stuff? Buy an extra case and girlyfy the thing all you want.

mkl 09-05-2013 03:19 PM

the case of the RX8 is the wrong kind of plastic to dye. I won't take the color.
