I think the 2.0 improves connectivity with newer versions of Android OS better as well.

Yes 4s. And I'll try that. I do however have plenty of top end straight speed.
What is the correct setting to use to get more punch? Current limiter or throttle minimum? However you have your current limiter down, turning it off(100) will help. |

I have no idea. I don't have a hotwire. I'll get one and check. Does the new software help prevent this from happening?

Can a RX8 be programmed via hotwire when it's not wired yet?

Whats the difference between the hotwire 2.0 and the original hotwire besides the color? I only have the old one. Am I missing some kind of tuning option with the original hotwire?

That's just it though. If you're under geared a lot, the esc setting is the wrong adjustment.

Guys, I switched ebuggys and used the same power plant rx8 gen w/tekin 1700. We have a large triple at my local track. I had no issues clearing it before(rc8.2e)I'd blip the throttle 1/2 way or so and it would launch. Now I need to hammer full throttle and hold it to clear it. I've searched and found nothing about a punch setting. I use the Hotwire and the throttle section shows a Current limiter(set on 75 now) and a throttle min(set at 5 now). Which one controls the punch? Or what's y'all's suggestion? FYI, I'm running a DNX408 with a Rc monster conversion with a 48/16 gearing.
Thanks. I changed the timing profile ,but unlike the other guy ,I set the start point high @ 20,000 ,and @ 70% .This gave me more ability to get the nose up landing big jumps ,and no noticeable problem ,with heat etc . I also ran 100% CL. |

I ran a 1700 in my Agama for a while then stepped up to a 2050.

What is the correct setting to use to get more punch? Current limiter or throttle minimum? If you are undergeared as Randy suggested then you will get more bottom and top end I found with a BL motor if you gear up to the correct range. Give that a shot and see how you like it. |

Tekin's really don't have a "punch" setting like some other speedo's do. You can add expo or increase min throttle settings to make the throttle start at a higher position but most like good low end control especially with a high powered 8th scale then lots of low end grunt.

It really only benefits mobile device connectivity at this time. Your Hotwire 1.0 will be just fine.

Ok. I'm limited with space as the 16t pinion is the biggest I can fit with the 48t spur on the RC Monster convention. I uped the current limited and it helped. When you say increase the throttle minimum, I have it set on 5 so increase to like 10-15.
Thanks. The car may feel a little light on the bottom end if your settings are not set right as you may have too much dead band so you get a lot of trigger play before the car moves and this can make it feel soft? There are a few things that can adjust how things feel. But again Tekin does not have a "DRRS" setting or something similar like the Hobbywing, Orion, Speedpassion based systems have that adjust "punch". |

Give it a try. Just makes the ESC start at 10% power instead of 5% power after you get past the dead band so you will get more power right away.
