Sometimes, you just don't know what whoever pit next to you are doing. I bring my kid to race all the time. Thought bad words around the pit area was bad influence for kids? Now, this really concerns me. Really need to risk ourselves for the toy cars at club level?
A while back, someone burned down half of the house from charging lipo in the garage.

i personally love the read about what others are doing and what they do. i totally understand the it is cutting edge and pushing the envelope at club level this might be over kill.
lipo fire happen all the time (youtube 38,900 results) i have personally never seen a fire from someone at a race or major event. most of the time it is someone that has misused them and that is way more dangerous then what is being discussed here.
but it is awesome and thank's from all the info.
theses are my personal opinions and i hope it doesn't offend.

Charging lipos
I have the powerlab8 & have Been charging @ 32amps for the last couple of years, same battery's,one of them started showing higher ohms over time & I cycled it 3 times, its been great ever since,I do however graph all my charges,so you can see how well the battery is charging over time.
Have just brought some 2s 5300mah lipos with a charge rate of 12c,my powepak puts out 47amps,24 volt.
If the battery is rated for a high charge & it's done in a safe manner, why not use it to its full potential?

A "steel" cash box is all you need. The lipo sack is made of fabric material that will just fuel the fire if it ignites.
ROAR and another sanctioned races should adopt steel boxes instead of fabric Lipo bags which are no guarantee that they will contain a Lipo fire.

Good reminder on the regen and external load capability. But isn't it still limited to 40 amps (70 synced)?

i charge to the MAH of the pack, so for 5000mah i charge 5a. for 1100 lipo receivers i charge 1.1a

Go here and see the load carrying limits for AWG wire sizes.
