Glad I picked up a Duratrax DE10 for my DESC210R since Randy hinted this was on the horizon. Wonder what new features it will have programming wise?

It's got some new goodies that I'm really excited about. It is VERY smooth, great braking. I'll let you guys know more when I can! It will be an awesome mild-mod, super stock and stock controller.

Odin544 03-16-2013 10:08 PM

Will the production models have white cases? Can you tell us that? :) I actually hope not, or at least an option for the traditional black case.

As smooth as the LRP flow or RS10? :)

I LOVE the white case!

TY@TEAMTEKIN 03-16-2013 10:15 PM

Yes on smoothness, it has a great feel. Yes on the white cases. Black will be available but I love the white, it stands out and pops!

Odin544 03-16-2013 10:17 PM

I agree it does stand out. Some cars I like to black everything out on though. ;)Glad to hear the black will be an option though.

ilanstylz 03-16-2013 10:20 PM

I love the white, it'll go perfectly with my japanese mylaps ;-)

Hmm and by the looks of the pic it has a place for the hotwire to plug into on the esc instead of having to unplug your rx wire......

skengines 03-16-2013 10:23 PM

Will there a a RS Pro Gen 2 for mod motors?

OMG23RC 03-16-2013 10:24 PM

I hope it has a bigger bec, I hate having to pay $20 just to run my savox servo. That's why I went viper :)

I would think so, along with a new RX8 version as well.........

There are others they are working on. They wouldn't just update the RS. ;)

rc10t3b4 03-17-2013 12:01 AM

So this is not what the RSX will be based on? And I hope there is a pro version. Also love the white case. Goes perfect for my traxxas tcp

trixter91 03-17-2013 04:24 AM

Yea a black pro version would be killer. Will the new rspro or old one ever use a google operating system or just windows for the hotwire.

I think the RSX is the evolution of the RX8.

My Tekins work just fine with Savox and Spektrum servos. Are you running Spektrum radio gear?

FWIW, I'd like to see a 1/10 scale ESC that can handle the 550 can motors.

skengines 03-17-2013 08:28 AM

Definitely looking to the Pro version and I will be picking up one in white. :D

TY@TEAMTEKIN 03-17-2013 02:07 PM

This is replacing the RS, there will be a different controller for full mod. I run a 10.5 boosted in my 22 for mod.

Biz1974 03-17-2013 02:15 PM

will you be able to upload the new software thru the hotwire on to the older RS?

Jim Frahm 03-17-2013 02:26 PM

Every time I talk to Tekin at the track they say they're always working on something. ;)

From what I saw in person you will be able to hook up the hotwire without removing the servo lead from the RX. In the first photo you can see the three pin connector. I think they (Tekin) said something about a better BEC output but I'm not sure on that one, we'll have to wait and see.

man im sorry I just bought a new pro should of waited till I saw this thread
and man I hate to remove it from the rx that is the best idea I seen in a long time.

Odin544 03-17-2013 03:37 PM

Really looking forward to the full mod version. That's all I need for my 4mod now is a new ESC. Just hope it happens before the end of the month!

Looks like Tekin is going to come out with a fancy digital / upgradable program card of box, Hopefully. This would definitly eliminate the laptops at the track.

No program card.

rednck21 03-17-2013 06:23 PM

LOVE the white case! :sneaky:

Biz1974 03-18-2013 06:31 AM

[QUOTE=TY@TEAMTEKIN;11941684]No.

That stinks! Will you possibly be offering an exchange program like some of the competitors?

Randy said in another thread there will not be an exchange program.

Wildcat1971 03-19-2013 06:34 AM

So no program card? Sticking with the hotwire for this gen2 esc's?

t0p_sh0tta 03-19-2013 07:01 AM

Randy said they can do better than a program card. Damn him for also be so vague! Should have been in politics.

I predict bluetooth/WiFi connectivity.

Wildcat1971 03-19-2013 07:03 AM

lol, I am not sure i want my android connecting to my esc. I have little faith in the phone OS, lol.

tekinACE 03-19-2013 10:04 AM

Good job guy's love the white:nod::nod::nod:

Randy_Pike 03-19-2013 10:09 AM

Politics? Me? Nah...I'm a bit too blunt for that I think ;)

Patience guys...it will be worth the wait.

t0p_sh0tta 03-19-2013 10:17 AM

I can't wait anymore, expect my app to the the first next time you're looking for team drivers.

I'm with you on this... Remember the April Fools joke a year or 2 back that had the Hotwire app on the iPhone??
I'm guessing its going to be something along those lines.

arnie84 03-19-2013 02:02 PM

Same hotwire can be used? I almost broke the seal on the orion I just bought till I saw this lol

fullsyzz 03-19-2013 02:05 PM

Gen2 ESC Hotwire adapter. What could this be for? :sneaky:
