Default Power Supply?

I am in need of a new Power Supply and thought I would ask, is there one particular one or brand everyone agrees on or is happiest with? My friend has the ProTek 40 amp model and is happy with it.........

I should add I will be using it with a ProTek 620 Duo charger.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Depends on what your charging and how many amps.

Any 20A unit should be fine. There are also a number of people selling converted server power supplies for around 50-60 bux. These are about 47A units.

80$ isn't a issue for me after I've already put down over 1200$ for my new setup and it has enough amps and wattage to supply for what I'm charging, IMO I'd buy a new supply rather than a used pc supply, I do agree max amps is overpriced but the supply I don't have a problem w/

The one thing I like about Power Supplies marketed towards "RC" is they are finished nice. A raw aluminum box with wires hanging off of it just seems sketchy to me.

They don't have to stay raw aluminum...
