Default Run away??LOL

Got a question,I have a RX8 AND M11X with new motor hw 4000 kv.In a scte.
The other night I was having some problems with the truck starting to glitch and cut out ,was able to finish the race(in 1st lol)The next day went to practice on a big indoor track and the truck would cut out(get this) at the end of the strait LOL ,no steering ,no brakes, into the pipe!Ouch..Did this 3 times and only at the end of strait..Hmm?? Solder job is good too.The Rx8 had the wire pinched a little under batt tray last time I took it apart to reveal this.I had a problem a while back and it was the Rec,I had a 2nd one and solved the problem.Seems to be the rec again? My ??`s is this, could the pinched wire in the speedo keep the steering from working???Any thoughts???Thanks.

Be thankful it didn't actually run away. I haven't had this happen since I was a kid and I'm using an older radio (circa 2004/5) and I do not have a fail safe. Never owned a fail safe on my top dollar stuff - V-One-RRR, MTX3s, and R40s.

Maybe I should?

I didnt think I needed a failsafe either till the other night when my little boy had a runaway on his gravedigger. Now both of our trucks have failsafes.

Back on-topic Id look at the BEC as well.

Never needed one before,A good friend and great r/c nut to have around reminded me that the power from the batt goes thru the speedo to the servo,so if the speedo wire was damaged it could be the culprit..Hmmm I dont have an extra speedo or rec.. The loss of brakes as well makes me think the crushed wire may be it lol Oh well gotta figure sumthin out.Thanx for your replies..

Almost sure this is a Brown-out problem. Your pulling more current with
the HW motor and the ESC cant keep up.
