Default LRP SXX On/Off Switch

Has anyone played enough with these to answer if the on off switch is a simple circuit where turning on completes the circuit and nothing else?

Reason for asking is yesterday mine started playing up, on is always on, but sometimes even when switched off it stayed on...by playing with the wires it's the end in the switch rather than the esc and I am guessing its just shorting or something.

So basically what I was wondering was could I just cut the wires and solder them together, leaving it on 100% of the time to save hassle?

Yes, you could do that and then the car would be turned on and off by plugging/unplugging the battery. Unlike Orion's ESC's were the switch also contains the button to initiate the programming sequence, the LRP switch is just a switch that completes the circuit.

One of the two wires on my on/off switch (Nosram Pearl v1) has broken inside the switch so I can't reach it to resolder it. Can this be somehow opened and repaired or should I just cut it and solder the two wires together? I don't really need this switch but it would be nice to repair it
