Questions?? extra connector on rx8??

hello everyone,
can i solder an extra connector on the rx8 esc, so i can use the hotwire without pulling the main connector from the rx?
i have noticed that pulling the connector is damaging the wire from continued removal of this connector. (super tight fit)
thanks for any advise. sonny

My understanding is the connector must be removed from the receiver, so you can't use a "Y" connector or similar. What I did on my buggy was to put an extension from the receiver to the outside of the receiver box. Then plug the RX8 into that. That way I was not constantly pulling on the plug in the receiver or having to open the box if I wanted to make a change.

Correct it must be disconnected from the receiver. Use a short extension so it wears out instead of the plug on the ESC.

+1, did the extension trick using my mamba max pro. Makes pc adjustments a lot easier.
