12th scale Lipo
Hello, I'm just now getting back into R/C racing. Back in the day(1990's).
I used nothing but Brushed motor and SCRC 6 cell packs. Anyways!!
I have just bought out someone of all his RC stuff... I ended up with 2 RC12L4's and a RC12R, a brush-less motor(LRP 17.5) with EPC and an older FM radio/receiver. I believe I have everything to start racing. From looking at the forum it look likes everyone is using Lipo's. I did a google search for 12th scale Lipo's but does not seem to be much out there. Can anyone please point me in the right direction in finding a good lipo for my cars. I will be racing Oval.. Thanks in advance!!

Most oval racing is done with a 1s LiPo pack these days. 2 cell is occasionally run outdoors on pavement in 1/10 scale, but primarily all 1/10 and 1/12 is 1s LiPo.
Reedy Wolfpacks, Fantoms, and Trinity Revtech packs are popular where I race.

You'll also need a Lipo capable charger... something like this...

Also, sidenote, most oval racers hang out on hobby talk.... you might have better luck for on-going advice there. http://www.hobbytalk.com/bbs1/forumdisplay.php?f=20
For offroad, and on-road/road-course RCtech is the best!
