not entirely true. i ran a novak sensored motor on a Castle Creations 1/10 mamba a few years back. it ran fine.

it may cog horribly, it may cog slightly, or it may run fine. someone else can probobly give you a more exact answer tho.

Works just fine on my LST2 brushless swap. 2100KV sensored 4074 motor and a 150amp Hobbywing ESC (non sensored). Doesn't even cog that I notice.

I got in a trade a artr losi xxx sct and it had a hobby wing sc10 sensor-less speedo with a novak ss 17.5 hooked up to it.I originaly thought it would not work but when I hooked a lipo to it and my receiver......it worked fine. The guy just had the sensor wire zip tied to the shock tower. Any other such stories out there?

Get the hobbking esc and a trackstar motor by hobbyking, both sensored or get a trackstar package i believe they are better. Or you best option....GET A TEKIN!

BigKidF .. I would not .. I have tried many esc sensored and motor sensorless combo.. They all might start out ok no cog.. but as soon as u run it for a couple minutes and the motor heats up COG..

SO A BIG FAT NO..best to have both esc and motor working together not each doing there own thing..

to the tekin guy They aint all that..rather have a Black Diamond.. or a Team Wave esc..teamwave $100 max BD about $575 last time i purchased one 3 weeks ago

I have been running an ezrun esc and speedpassion 17.5 for a while now. VERY little cogging and NO heat at all. Not a very fast setup though.

Its a 17.5 not susposed to be fast. Higher Turn Slower, Lower Turn Faster

a sensorless controller with a sensored motor should be fine as long as you have good batteries.
