Just an FYI.. Vant's warranty isn't worth a hoot.. I'm a dealer who purchased through a distributor and couldn't get a 4S Lipo pack warrantied that had a bad cell from the factory.

I have 2 vant 6s and so does my brother, both have been great. They were purchased through dirt cheap rc/ the barn floor. I had a issue with one of them that was my fault. I contacted them 1 month after the 6 month month warranty period. After a few e-mails and a few pics I had a new 6s vant 4800mah sent to my door. I don't know what else customer support could do. I am very happy with my vants and they look identical to my smc's. 1 of my smc's sometimes won't charge due to "invalid cell count" my charger says, Smc says that it's not warranted, I must of dropped it or bashed the vehicle too hard? I'll stick w/ VANT batteries, they are local for me NY and great customer support.

Funny how none of my Vants have failed! I guess some are bashers. I use 2s, 4s, shorty, and square as well. In fact all have survived some hard racing. Maybe charging at high rates?? I never exceed 1.5 c rate. The shorty has been a very outstanding battery. I can tell when it is in there versus other batteries. My 4s have gone three seasons now, and no idea how many on the 2s.

Look for a retailer that offers a warranty or discounted replacement program. I bought from dirtcheaphobbies, and they have a "lifetime" replacement warranty for 50% off, I think it is.

I had two packs that developed bad cells over the winter, and they hooked me up with replacements no problem. They just ask for pictures to show the problem.

Whoever makes Vant packs over in China isn't going to do a warranty. It's up to the "dealer", and anyone can become a "dealer". I found the packs listed on a chinese export website where literally anybody can buy them. If i remember right, they are sold in packs of 100.

No doubt, I have been using Vants 1s packs (special order) and Vant 2s shorty’s, saddles, and bricks for 4 years and have never had and issue with any.
