Futaba 4PKS Problem
#1
Last march i bought my 4PKS. It worked great for mnths. The last 5-6 races last yr it started to act like my transmitter turns off briefly 8 or 9 times during a qualifier. I cannot get this to happen while running it away from other radios. Only happens at the track. It has a 614FF rec, futaba hv servos and straight lipo. It never acted up in my losi with the original radio tray. It worked well in the gen 3 tray at 1st, then it started acting up. Truggy goes to the failsafe mode when it happens for a second or two then takes back off under control again. I pulled everything apart, no bad wires. I tried it in and out of high response mode. There's alot crammed in the rec box(transponder). I even bought a new lipo. Am i overlooking something or is my rec taking a poop?

Ok, but if it were doing this all the time that makes sense, but it only happens at the track with other radios on. It'll run all day long behind my house and never do it. But thanks for that idea. I'm gonna try a voltage regulator.

If your trying to run high voltage for your servo and only have a 2c pack the regulator will not work, as the voltage dips so will the regulator.
You might have to run a smaller 2c pack for the rx and servo, or use the bec for the rx and connect the power wire of the servo to the batteries.

Ham if your only have intermittent issues at the track then your getting a cross signal from interference or its a Heat issues. It could cause a thermal shut down. I owned a futaba for years never had this issue thou
I would buy a extra receiver anyway as backup. Then swap out to see if the issue goes away. Also try to rebind the units maybe that will help. Also you can do factory reset but you will loose your settings.
Anyone running flyski radios, I heard these cause havoc on other transmitters but I believe it was spectrum

Problem is intermittent. I can't produce the problem running away from other radios. Only happens at the track around other radios. I'm gonna get another receiver. This is the 1st issue in 20 yrs with a futaba product. Seems like a receiver issue.
