Charging a starter box
#1
I have an OFNA starter box that I got with the car I just purchased. The guy told me it has a brand new battery but didn't include a way to recharge it. I believe the battery is not starting to go dead. What do I have to do in order to get it charged back up? It looks like near the power button there are sports for banana clips?

ditch it and buy two cheap 7.4 lipos for it. way lighter and double the power. just be careful not to run them down too far.
best thing I ever did with a starter box. I've been there and tried it all. I wish my current starter box would accept the ofna power panel in it. I have the blue truggy box now. I just hate having to remove the screw every time I need to charge it up. I might do the velcro trick instead.

post a link to your starter box so we can have a look at it.
if it doesn't already have them you could go to radio shack and buy binding posts and banana plugs. but you'll have to drill out two holes in the chassis for them. so no need to remove cover to charge.
but be careful no to break them off throwing the box around.
binding posts

banana plugs for the wires. (or just insert the wire in the hole or wrap wire around the post and tighten nut)

I never had a box like that one but feel if there is slots under that front sticker. if there is it's meant to be knocked out so you can insert one of these,

it had the two small brushed motors.
or just do the binding posts for about $4 at radio shack.
it will keep you from having to remove the screw to open it up to charge it. a lot of guys just use velcro on the switch/spring assembly instead. I think that's the route I'm going to do.
you will need a charger. the wall plug one will take forever. if you have a car(not rc) battery charger you can use that.
