Default Tekin RS problem

OK here is the deal:

Have a Tekin RS in my XXX-SCT with a 8.5 Tekin motor hooked to it. Had it running with a DX3R and a 3100 receiver. 2S 5000 battery. I changed over to a Radiopost radio and a 5ch receiver. Everything still working fine at this point. Now I plug up to my Hotwire and start downloading new software for the RS and tweaking the settings. Again everything still working to perfection.

I now realize I am supposed to be using my 17.5 motor instead of the 8.5. No problem...I have connectors in line so I can switch between motors. I do this and rehook to the Hotwire and continue to tweak my settings. Well now I save the settings and unhook and voila! no sound from the system and the motor does not spin. The lights on the esc look normal and function normal but no output to the motor. I have updated the esc two more times to no avail...

Any help? Any ideas? Thoughts suggestions....I got a brand new RS Pro on the way but still want to get this one working if possible.

Have you tried to recalibrate? Everytime you usew Hotwire, youre supposed to recalibrate your ESC.

Yep...held down the button on the esc and waited for it to find neutral and then went to full throttle and then to brake...still no sound or any movement out of the motor.

I would contact Tekin or Randy Pike on RCtech forum for assistance. Sounds like it's probably just a setting issue.

Did you try the other motor again? The chime comes from buzzing the motor I think so if you have a motor problem even though the esc lights are working the motor won't do anything.

Sounds like the updated may have been interrupted. Re update the esc's software, re test.

Yeah I tried the original 8.5 I had in it that worked and it did the same thng...no power or sound.

I did try the update agan and it said it was successful but no motor movement or sound...think I might download the Hotwire software to another computer and try it again...

Once the update is done, perform a factor reset on the unit by powering it up, hold down both buttons for 5 seconds, let it perform it's light and chime sequence. Then perform a radio calibration. Result?

No luck...tried all that and get the same results.

The 4th light on the esc lights up for a bit then it goes out and the 1st light comes on for a second and then back to the 4th...

Really disappointed in this Tekin RS...I have 2 Tekin RX8 esc's in my other vehicles and they work great...

Here is the manual, did you try another sensor cable?

In reference to the link Hoese put up my lights are doing what the one in the upper left box is doing. It says it is neutral...so that means everything is working correctly.

I will see if can get one of the sensor wires off of one of my RX8s and put on here and see if that changes anything.

OK I swapped a sensor wire off of one of my other trucks that I know is working....same results. But I have noticed one thing: the instructions say that you can rotate the motor and the lights should blink on the esc to show that the sensor is working. Well when I turn my motor over the 4th light stays lit up and then the first one comes on and so forth...just like it says it is supposed to for neutral. Does this mean anything else?

Can you try swapping receivers or even the radio?
