you might want to watch this before going with the trackpower.

Do you have a power supply? Do you need it to be AC/DC? How many amps do you want to charge at on each channel?

Hi jrk.. I race 3x a week..I run several different chargers..most retail well over $250.. I run a venom charger called a 610 duo..it will charge 2 different batteries at once each at 10 amps max..it is made in several different versions or relabeled by many..ie..Sky rc imax B6 200w--ProTek--Prodogy 610 duo--also a few other company's relabel..about $130.. u will need a 12v 25 amp power supply to run..easy to make from a 600watt computer power supply for a total of $25--thats the 5$ in parts to convert it..

I run from 4500mah to 6700mah packs..all 2 cell (2s)..I take 1700mah out of a pack and to recharge is 22 minutes..this doesnt have the ir let down..

It's pricey, but I LOVE my Orion Twin Spec. Two channels, each can charge up to 20amps, and discharge up to 10amps. With 2 batts charging at the same time, up to 10 amps each. It needs a good power supply, the ProTek 40 is what I use so I can hit 20amps on my bigger packs. I like it so much I'm seriously debating getting a second, but that's money I can spend on other stuff .

JRK078,

I'm in the same boat with picking a charger although I will have some NiMH's to charge as well for a 25+ yr old buggy...I refuse to update the ESC and the motor unless I'm forced to.

Tower has the Onyx 245 for $110 and with a code you could get $10-15 off that. The ones that others have mentioned are considerably higher and I would rather spend my money on more LiPos....especially if you don't need high S batteries or need charges immediately but then that decreases the life expectancy of the LiPos anyhow.

Doesn't bother you that it doesn't discharge? Just curious. I had some people talk about that as a con for the 245. I like the features and tower dropped the price on it. So I can get it for under $100 - which I think is a good deal but I'm still wondering the need for the discharge function that people say they need.

Yes its DC only. Any charger with decent specs is still gonna be DC only. 98% of all chargers now that are AC/DC are capable of only 6A of current. This cahrger will do 20A on each side upto a 6S/22.2V pack. Thats a total of 40A. Your best AC charger will only do approx. 2.2A on a 6S.

Depends on what you're trying to charge.
