Default Having problems charging on a super brain palm

I am trying to charge a 6 cell 1600 mah old style pack. I have all the settings right, 6 cell 1600 mah, charging at less then 1 amp. It beeps after about 1 min, I've charged my lipos tons of times.

Is it false peaking because the pack is old and been sitting for awhile?

Standard sub-c size pack? IMO, thorough some more amps at it and see if that helps..2.5-3.0

I don't know if the pack was old but it was completely dead, is a pack from an rc18, that I got, I just want to mess around with it, and get lipo if need be. I'll try more amps.

that will be a 2/3 a cell pack, the same idea as a nitro car receiver pack. discharge it fully then if your charger has a cycle mode put it on cycle at .5 amp charge rate. if its any good itll take more every charge.

I've found sometimes to bring back a pack in bad shape, I have to bust out the old DC 15 minute dial type charger. I think it works because it doesn't detect voltage.

Now that I think it, I want to say I had problems charging nonlipos before. I also trying some stick packs and will only go a few sec, then end? I think I got it all set up right. Never had a problem doing 2-4 cell lipo , life, packs.

Here is the charger I am using:

Sounds like false peaking as Racer mentioned. Either keep hitting it with more amps until it holds and charges long enough to warm the pack up, sometimes that can work. And/or do a forming-trickle charge at 1/10C (0.16 A) for 14-16 hours. And cycle a few times as also mentioned.

If neither of those help the cells are likely toast for most practical purposes. Some reverse zap them, not worth it in my opinion.

I'm thinking its something I'm doing with the charger or the charger itself, because I used to try to charge rx packs, but never had luck. Its doers lipos and life fine.
