Default Hump pack charging ?'s

I bought a 1700mah NIMH 6v hump pack to power my radio equipment in my nitro truck. I was playing around with it and had a couple of charging questions about it....

1) what kind of current can I safely charge this thing at?

2) what voltage level should I let it discharge to?

Charge it at 1.5 volts if you want it to charge quick and have quick bursts of juice. Charge it at 0.5 volts if you want the battery to last all day long. You really don't want the battery to discharge , it will ruin and lose its memory

the small 2/3 A cells dont like a lot of amperage. you can charge them at 1 amp, however they are better off being charged at a lower current. when i have time i put them on the charger at .5 amps.

it is best to fully discharge any nicd or nimh battery. if you charge it from half charged it will develop memory and go dead quicker. if your charger has a discharge function you can use it, being a basher i tend to run them down as far as possible first, then discharge them on my charger.
