Default Dies at Wide Open Throttle ?

I have a Team Durango DESC410R with a Mamba Max Pro and a Tekin Pro4 4600 motor and a Castle BEC. When I use my Maxx Amps 6000 mAh pack it is awesome, when I put my new nano-tech 5100 mAh packs in it dies at WOT.
I can pull out easy and it's good, when I nail it it goes up to about 90% and dies, everything shuts down like you hit the off switch? The nano-tech say 130C, I doubt that but they still should not cut out. I can set throttle EPA to 85% and it runs fine, then after about 3 min. turn the EPA to 100% and it's fine. The ESC is wide open with a 10% start setting=almost wide open.
Any ideals?
Thanks joe

What connectors do you use? If they are exactly the same, then probably the nano is bad. Where is your cutoff voltage set?

What do you put the Deans on? The cable that comes with the nano is set up for charging only. If you want to run the car with it then you have to replace the banana plugs with solid bullets.
3.4V is a bit high, but fresh packs should not drop down there.
Replacing the plugs and lowering the LVC to 3.2V should help a bit, but I don't think it will be enough. Worth a try though.

I had the exact same problem using a MMP and a Trinity 4XS. The speedo just can't handle the load that the motor is demanding. I used the same batteries, motor, gearing, etc... and only changed the ESC. Problem solved instantly. The other ESC is allowing 10 more amps to be delivered to the motor (per my EagleTree data logger).

If you pull out those cables from the pack, the plug on the end looks like these birdcages:

You need to replace them with some solid bullets like these:

Cool, but do you think even with the "bird cage" style I would loose all power when I land a jump?
Thanks for the info and pics dtr!

I have seen some cases locally where the birdcages lost contact momentarily on a crash or hard landing and the ESC shut dow for a few seconds, but can't remember what electronics those guys had.
The MMP is a bit finicky about its power source, i think it is possible.

Cool Man, I got a Tekin on the way. Now to find the solid plugs, I just bought 10 sets of the bird cage ones
