Default Havoc ESC question

I have an older 4 years Havoc ESC. it was a combo that came with a 17.5 bl motor

I hooked up a speed passion v3 21.5 BL motor to it but when I power up the 4 leds light up in consession and just keep repeating. I search novak but cannot find the answer. gonna try a few more things but I cant figure out whats wrong. the servo works fine but no forward/reverse. I tried doing the one touch setup as well and it doesnt do anything..
all the fault codes are usually 2 lights flashing or solid but this is all four (one at a time, ) flashing like a arrow from left to right

it worked fine with the novak motor

the SP is sensored as well

thanks

ok when i disco the sensor wire from the esc the esc gets into the mode where it is suppose to be but because its a novak you need he sensor wire connect for the motor to run...

also out of the 4 leds the blue one stays on solid and the yellow/red/green al blink in consssion

Guy at my track had the same problem. I don't recall the exact light sequence, but we determined that the Havoc would not work with motors which do not have a temperature sensor built in.

looks like that finally found this

The Havoc ESC and motor contain Thermal Overload Protection circuitry. The ESC will only operate with brushless motors that have built-in thermal protection that follow ROAR guidelines.

guess my sensorless sidewinder esc is gonna get moved then and the novak is gonna get a silver can.... oh well

Just remember the the original Havoc is the only one that had this issue. Their are other motors beside Novak that have the thermal sensor in them but it's not easy to tell which ones.
