Youll be fine with a 170oz servo.

So the JR Z9100s would be fine for my application?

Whats your thoughts on the savox servo I read a thread on down that was talking about issues with them. Are they any good?

I really like my Savox servos... What kind of radio do you run?

savox are good servos but they don't play nice with Spektrum radios. You may need a glitch buster or BEC.

I run a 1257 and 1258 in my 1/10 cars. fast and relatively cheap.

The earlier ones were kinda crappy, they burned out easily. recently in the past year theyve really got it together and make some good stuff. Still noisy though!

I like the Savox for the price point compared to the JR. Still unsure I've always ran JR so might just stick with them never had a issue.

If you plan on still using spektrum make sure to use a cap or BEC or DSM2 rx's but you would have to upgrade your radio before using a DSM2 as the dx2.0 does not run it.

Save your money. Buy the Savox.

Agreed, used to run a Savox 1257 and 58. Both are very "chatty" when they sit on the starting line, constantly trying to center themselves. Drivers at the stand could hear them. Picking up the front end of the car and dropping it back down quiets them up.

I switched to Futaba servos, and while they still make some noise, its MUCH quieter.

If money isn't a deal breaker, stick with the JR. The Savox aren't bad but the extra money for the JR is worth it, IMO.

And yes I have both.
