Servo issues
#1
I wrecked my 1/10 car yesterday and while steering now the servo clicks and the wheels dont come back centered. Is it possible to rebuild a servo? If so can anyone give me a run down on how this is done?

Hi there please any info from me with a grain of salt as I have been out of the hobby this round for around 6 years.
I did a quick search on your servo on the intarwebs and found stories of damage in every link. I would imagine by the model # and the picture that it has some relation to the old Futaba S3003 but that thing actually lasted even though it was as entry level as they get...so not sure if there is a relation.
In your situation I would be honest and recommend just replacing the servo for the main reason that It may be difficult sourcing the parts u need to rebuild. Even if you do I would imagine the gears would retail $5-10.
You could take that same $5-10 if money is pinched and look for used Futabas like I mentioned above or maybe a new one for $15 in any corner of the globe you would like to check. Thats what I would recommend.
However, if you got some extra dough...maybe now is a perfect time to upgrade your servo...plenty of good bang for buck out there.

Hey I forgot to mention that sometimes the car itself adds to servo destruction, but from what I read in your case it seems to be the servo itself. I read of them failing in a few crawlers before and thats a completely different usage to yours in every way.
