I have not purchased yet. My gens ace are getting close to replacement so will be picking some up soon. I would think you should be good to go for your 10 minute main. Someone with like motor please confirm.

I run the 4600 shorty in my SC truck with an 8.5 and easily make a 7 minute main with at least 1 minute of warmup with lots of mah left in the battery.

I have run my buggy with a 13.5 in it for over 20 minutes without hitting cuttoff.

you should have no issues getting 15+ minutes on a 4600mah in a 2wd mod buggy, possibly closer to 20 depending on the track.

Most batteries will be back in stock the end of next week as long as there are no issues with customs.

I have 2 SMC Racing batteries, 7200mah 70C

I run Losi SCT 4x4 with tekin rx8 and tekin 4600kv motor. This set-up has worked great so far for me being a beginner in the hobby.

I have raced 4 different race events and i can truley say that my driving ability is the only thing holding me back in the race. These batteries are keeping up with the "Top Dog Batteries"

These batteries are great, for the price you can not go with anything else.

Thank you SMC for making my RC experience great!

Why not just email Danny and get answers?

The 6500 should be in that order. Messaged Danny last week.

Always use SMC batteries and love them, but I have an odd question. Is it actually OK to ship these USPS. When I shipped out some stuff yesterday the lady asked me if it was fragile, blah, blah, blah, or Lithium Batteries. The reason I ask is I have some extra packs I want to sell or trade. I know the answer is to keep my mouth shut, but just am interested in anyone's thoughts.

I had two new postmasters in past 6 months (at my local P.O.) and they both tried to tell me I could not ship LiPo batteries.

I called the main USPS number and was directed to a local "Shipping regulations" contact who pointed out that Exhibit 10.20.8 (a table, for us common folk) in section 601 of the "Domestic Mailing Manual" (a.k.a. "DMM", so you quote "DMM 601.10.20.8") states that secondary (meaning "rechargable") Lithium batteries MAY be shipped both via ground and air.

Do a search on the USPS site, print out that page, and take it with you to the post office when you have LiPo batteries to ship.

There are some restrictions:

1) No more than 3 batteries per package
2) No single cell inside a battery to exceed 20 Wh (Watt-hours)
3) No single battery to exceed 100 Wh

That last rule is why Danny said SMC will not be making 7000 mAHr 4S packs - they would exceed 100 Wh and would not be mailable.

I have had the same problem with my PO not knowing their own regulations and having to call the regulations office. The USPS should pay us for schooling their employees on their own policies.

How do people like the 4300 shorty? I'm using a 4000 30c pack now so I think it should be an improvement. Would I need to order plugs and balance wires for these if I were to order? I have no inboard batteries so I'm not used to this setup.

Thanks
Mark
