Default Low-Profile Servo

I'm looking for a low-profile type servo to replace the Expert SL661 that the previous owner had in my F1 car which no longer is working.

I've been looking at the Hitec HS-77BB which is similar in weight, size, speed, and torque, but not sure if it'll hold up as a steering servo.

Can anyone recommend a good quality, inexpensive low-profile servo that will work well as a steering servo??

I'm not really interested in digital servos unless the cost is under $50.

If yu do not have a problem wit plastic gears Hitec makes good servos. Replacement gears are under $5 at tower hobbies & although the servos mentioned above are MUCH better, 1 is over $90 & the other over $110

Thanks Tom. I really haven't any problems with Hitec radio gear at all. Other drivers in my club have had problems with their radio gear using other brands. They get glitches, radio hits, and other problems frequently. I've taken a couple good hits with my Legend & f1 car using the Atom 3 2.4GHz receiver; the thing is rock solid, goes into fail safe mode for a second or two and then switches right back and off I go like nothing happened.

My rc racing right now consists of the Legend class which uses RJ Speed/BoLink Legend cars & Formula 1. It's just club racing on a carpet oval and banked asphalt tri-oval, nothing to serious. Most guys use inexpensive servos anyway. It's just club racing, no need for high dollar diogital metal gear servos, inexpensive, plastic gears do just fine.

To everyone else:
Just out of curiosity -- Does HiTec make a digital, meal gear, low-profile servo?? If so, model number??

You're welcome Tracy, I have been using Hitec mini mg55's for 3 years in my both mt oval 13.5 outlaw truck & 13.5 open car with no problems & have only ( May) upgraded to digital. Only room for 1 screw in the mounts, so OI flat mounted them & added a little Shoe-Goo.
Oh yeah in my SK car also.

Tom
