Default MyLaps Decoder Offer!!!

Not sure if this was the right place, and I hope this helps some clubs out!!

Mylaps is offering a upgrade to the new RC4 decoder for $330.00.

IF you have a RC2 or RC3 box, this applies to you.

I talked to MyLaps on Friday Oct 26th about this.

The new RC4 transponders are due out next month, and RC2 and some RC3 decoders will not work with them. This is a limited time upgrade option. If you have a RC3 decoder, you can go to MyLaps website and they have a test to see if your box can use the new PT coming out.

The new RC4 decoder is backward compatible to the original DP transponders. So DP, MRT and RC4 Hybrid, and if your organization has the red/orange house transponders, they will work with RC4 Decoder.

The new transponder has new features, unique car ID, voltage and temp sensors, and the capability of buying transponders with your own personalized number (direct purchase from MyLaps).

Decoder offer:

I got sent the offer via email myself...

Got to say, am a tiny bit worried about how hard they are pushing the new RC4 based firmware now, that is one hell of a carrot to dangle in front of clubs in terms of an upgrade, and I worry the rumor is true that RC4 locks out all non AMB/MyLaps transponders.

I dont see how the RC4 will lock out all non-mylaps transponders. If it carries the same signal and is a exact match... dont see how its possible.
