Default Power supply for dual battery charger

I am looking for a good 40 amp power supply for a charger that can do 2 battery's at once. I notice the proteks look good but what wattage would I need? Don't want to spend 200 on just the supply but the one that is 159 is only 520 watts. Is that bad?

Output voltage X output amps = watts.
Example 12v X 40amps = 480 watts.

Do yourself a favor and save some cash. Member's on here and seller's on eBay have converted computer power supply's to work with our charger's. I personally have 2 74 amp power supply's I run in a 24v configuration..

You can pick these up in different amperages from about $40.00 to about $65.00 each.

I have $90.00 in my setup and charge 2 2s lipos simultaneously at 20 amps all day long.

Need to know which dual charger, what size lipos (2S, 4S, etc) and what charge rates (amps) you want to use. Including any future possibilities you want to be prepared for. 2S lipos don’t take a lot of watts, power goes up with bigger cell counts, and amps.

Not all dual chargers can handle 24V, conversely some dual chargers won’t produce full power on 12V.
