Default gens lipo issues

Hey guys, so i love gens lipos. I use 2S 40C 5000MAH PACKS, one of my oldest ones (1.5 years old) is giving me problems. The battery takes full no problems and keeps it. This is a top fed battery unlike my other side fed ones. Anyways when i plug it into one of my rigs it powers up fine, but one i "nail" the throttle it falls on its face like it completely lost power. Should i retire it, and just throw it away?

This is not the proper way to dispose of a Lipo battery! Completely discharge, and then soak in a water/salt solution for a week. THEN, throw away. Be generous with the salt too!
