I know but sometimes cheap and crappy looking stuff does it's job really well. However, for $350 I would rather have two powerlab 6's.

I just ordered the 4010Duo from EP Buddy for $350 + $10 shipping. Picked EP Buddy because they include two of their "safe" paraboards.

In general I like dual channel chargers batter than two single channel chargers. Less space taken up on my pit table and in my hauler bag. Also, the LCD display on the 4010Duo seem pretty nice. Don't like the "Nintendo" look of the charger but functionality and reliability are what counts.

Im sure a wrap can be made fairly quickly. Make it all black, or carbon look...

I'm considering buying one of these to replace my PL8. The display is nice, as are the dual channels. What I haven't been able to find is if it has a way of recording battery charge information to determine the changes in a battery over time.

I thought it had speakers like the venom, thats what they should have done.

I just bought the icharger 4010 duo this morning so it would be my bad luck that something cool comes along just a few hours later lol.

I'm sure ill be happy with the icharger, I don't have huge big packs, I just like to have a dual charger and I liked the big screen, I don't mind paying for a quality unit!

Couple of pics attached of my new 4010Duo in action. I haven't done much more than solder up the connectors on the charger but it seems like a quality unit with a huge number of features.

One the second picture of the color screen, can you see the IR during charge, or is it after the charge is done?

From reading the manual you can see ir during the charge, you just have to move the screen to ir, not cells.

My question is though next to some of the cell figures you have a small colored bar graph on the right, what does that stand for?

The little bar graphs have something to do with balancing. Which cells are being balanced or something like that. The manual is not real clear. See attached pic from the manual.

Now that thing looks like the first Gen nintendo game system!

BUT I just use my hi tech X2 400watt charger 20 amps for each port works perfect for me and i did not have to sell one of my legs to buy it also.

Yeah I'm not sure either, I get mine this week, I've just sent my Hyperion back for the 3rd time so next time it returns it will be on ebay!

Yeah it looks retro that's for sure, x2 is a great charger but doesn't give the option to check internal resistance for individual cells so you can keep an eye on your packs, that's what I was looking for and I liked the big LCD screen with all the info on the same screen.

Yeah it's costs a bit but I'm hoping it last a bit longer then my Hyperion which was only $60 less but it's cost me 3 sets of freight cost back to Amain plus it's popped 4 sets of batteries and turned them into landfill, I only ever charge at 1c and since this has all happened I'm led to believe that Hyperion boards have a habit of this, anyway hope I have better luck with I-charger...

You will like the 4010Duo. I had the Hyperion SuperDuo right after they came out. I used it for a while but got tired of it's size. Thing was humongous. Like most dual channel chargers, the Hyperion seemed like they just shoved two separate chargers into one case. The Junsi 4010Duo seems like it was designed as a dual channel charger from the ground up. Also, it is way smaller than the Hyperion SuperDuo and smaller than the Hitec/SkyRC/Protek/etc 400w x 2 charger.

Few functional pluses of the 4010Duo over the SkyRC 400w x 2 charger:

- IR measurement as you said.
- Ability to see cell voltage when not charging.
- Being able to construct a power supply for the Junsi charger out of Ebay server power supplies. Hard to do this with the SkyRC chargers as they only take 18v max inout.
- 130w discharge capacility of the 4010Duo compared with 25w for the SkyRC 400w x 2.
- External discharge features of the Junsi chargers.
- Many more that I have not listed.

Now don't take this post the wrong way. The SkyRC charger is about the best bang for your buck charger you can get. Also, mine has been very reliable. The Junsi 4010Duo just gives you many more advanced features and capabilities over the SkyRC charger. Basically you gotta pay to play!

internal resistance don't matter on a charger to much as you can buy a external meter for IR and it will work better than the ones in any charger.
