savox
savox servos, r they any good?? can u trust them, cauce i am looking at the 1258tg for my 1/8 buggy.

Don't ask Mark this question Sidney...LOL. I like mine, bought them 1 year old used and have had them 1 year myself. I use the 1267 and 1268 though. But I suck and never race so you can draw your own conclusions about them.

I wouldn't use the savox TG servos for steering. Throttle is ok, but the high impact life that a steering servo sees will munch those Savox Ti gears. I've gone through two very easily. The SG (steel gear) savox servos are much better for steering.

I have the 1267sg and I love it so far. I've had it in my Losi SCTE for steering and its been in there for a full season of indoor racing and all this outdoor season and so far no issues with it at all.
I can't speak for the tg servos but I looked on their website and can't help but notice that whenever they have a real high torque servo it's a steel gear not a titanium gear one. That was the reason I went with the steel gear. |

i have also found 1233sg. .07/180 @6.0v???? sounds good to me????
I ran a Savox 1258 for a day. Only because I switched to HV servos and went with Hitec. The savox worked fine, and I haven't had problems with it but I've seen a few people have their Savox servos fail on them. Not saying they are bad, they are good servos with good specs, I only ran mine for a few minutes so I can't say anything about durability/lifetime. |

The 1233sg is a tall servo so you will most likely have problems with it fitting in the car. I made the mistake and bought it not knowing it was tall, tried to install it in my truggy and was what its called, tall. Maybe you can use some spacers and long screws but that would make your linkage high and probably uneven.
